What is
a Personal Chef?
Personal Chefs provide high quality, reasonably priced meals, custom designed to your individual tastes and dietary needs. A Personal Chef allows you to recoup time otherwise spent on planning the week痴 meals, shopping for and preparing your own meals and cleaning up the kitchen after cooking.
Who needs a Personal Chef?
Busy professionals, retirees, new parents or those just home from the hospital, diabetics or those with special dietary requirements are typical clients. Anyone who wants to enjoy handcrafted home cooked meals made from scratch in their home kitchen will benefit from having a Personal Chef.
How does it work?
Your service begins with a FREE, no obligation consultation. To begin we値l have you fill out our online assessment form that will tell us about your tastes, what you like and dislike. On the form you can tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions or needs you may have as well as how you would like your meals packaged for heating. We recommend Pyrex dishes.
We値l then schedule to meet with you at your home so you can get to know us personally that痴 the personal in personal chef service. While we are there we値l take a look at your kitchen. We値l need to make sure your refrigerator and freezer has enough space to store your meals. We値l also need to take a look at your stove and oven and see how they work.
Next, we'll plan and submit a menu to you for your approval a week in advance prior to your cook date. We値l need the approved menu e-mailed back to us three days prior to your cook date so that we have time to make any adjustments to your menu selections and to make our shopping list.
On the morning of your cook date we shop for the freshest fruit, vegetables and herbs selecting local organic grown produce whenever possible to be sure it's just picked. We also purchase the meat, fish, and poultry that morning selecting the most tender and most flavorful cuts and then packing everything in ice until we arrive at your home.
My Souse Chef (Doug) and I typically start cooking around 10:00 a.m. and will work in your kitchen until approximately 3 or 4:00 p.m., depending upon the menu and your schedule. If you wish, you may be at home on your cook date or you may make arrangements for Chef Ricky Joe and Souse Chef Doug to cook in your kitchen while you are out. Chefs Ricky Joe Cook & Doug Cameron work most efficiently on days when there are fewer distractions in the kitchen (house cleaning, meal interruptions, etc.)
On your cook date the chefs will:
*Shop for the freshest produce and quality ingredients
*Prepare, package and label your meal
*Leave your kitchen neat and orderly
Nothing but the delicious aromas of your favorite foods will linger and your refrigerator will be stocked full of meals. Just heat and enjoy!!
Is it Expensive?
NO! When you consider the time it takes to plan your meals, grocery shop, cook and clean up, the cost of enjoying a handcrafted home-cooked gourmet meal is quite reasonable. Personal Chef痴 are not just for the rich and famous anymore.
